IridoLab

Overview

IridoLab Unit is a self-service system providing customers with IridoLab’s noninvasive, iris-based biometric health evaluations. The Unit scans the customer’s eyes and determines health tendencies of their major anatomical systems and organs, like the liver and lungs. It then displays these health tendencies in a Health Evaluation Report. Stores can use our powerful reporting tools to see which products get the most attention during an IridoLab scan. The Unit features binocular cameras to scan both eyes fast and an easy and features a touch screen. It also has an attractive high-tech design with video and sound.

IridoLab is designed to advertise and sell VIT Labs and ProFight supplements. The Unit uses the person’s results to recommend appropriate products from VIT and ProFight.

There are three types of Units; The Advertising Kiosk, the Table Top Unit and the Handheld Unit. The Kiosk and Table Top Unit come with a touch screen while a Handheld Unit is meant to be used with a laptop.

Product information that customer are interested in

When a customer comes up to the Unit they are instructed to scan their eyes using the binocular cameras specifically designed to scan eyes fast. Then they wait for the Unit to send their encrypted eye pictures to our Evaluation Server to create a Health Evaluation Report. At this point videos play advertising VIT, ProFight and possibly your products. Customers can use the touch screen to view information on products they are interested in. 

Product information specific to a customer’s health

The Evaluation Server produces a Health Evaluation Report which is displayed on the screen. The results are interactive; each organ can have an accompanying promotional video specific to that anatomical system or organ. While reviewing the results, the customer can use the touch screen (or mouse) to select a specific body part and see recommended products for that part. Automatically help customers choose products specific to their health reports while still respecting the confidentiality of their private health information.

Customer’s take home something every time

Customer can print or email their Health Evaluation Report to themselves to either show their doctors or make decisions about your products later. Also, each scan comes with a unique login ID that allows customers to later review their Health Evaluation Report online. There your store can have a page where you can advertise products, show locations and hours of operation.

IridoLab process

1. Scanning Eyes

The first step is to take pictures of the eyes. IridoLab engineers built camera adapters for webcams tuned specifically to do that fast. Two cameras are mounted together with a frame like a binocular and in 5 seconds the customer is done. It’s that fast! The Kiosk Unit features a touch screen interface to guide them through the process.

2. Analyzing eyes to generate a health report

IridoLab uses powerful computer algorithms derived from iris-based biometric analyses methods and techniques described by leading researchers in the field of Iridodiagnostics. Eyes are analyzed on our servers and the results are sent back to the Unit as soon as they are done. That takes about 4 minutes. During the wait you have the option of displaying promotions relevant to your business.

3. Viewing the health report

After the eyes are analyzed the health scan report is displayed on the Unit’s screen with recommendations on vitamins specific to the customer’s health. The customer can then print the report or have them emailed to themselves or their doctor. They can also login online and review their results from anywhere.

Accuracy

Correct camera positioning and image quality is very important. Best results are obtained when the customer looks straight and directly into the camera and open their eyes as wide as possible to ensure that the entire iris is visible within the acquired images.

IridoLab examines most major anatomical systems and organs. Accuracy varies from 66% to 93% depending on the specific anatomical system or organ. The evaluation results are created using statistical methods, which means that accuracy of your specific results may fall outside the range stated above. Only a licensed medical doctor can provide a true diagnosis, determine whether or not treatment is required and/or prescribe any medication. Accuracy figures are derived from published scientific works and are not a product of our own direct research. 

Research

Iris-based biometric health evaluation is not new and is in wide use around the world. It belongs to the group of methodologies and techniques generally classified as Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM). Iridodiagnostics is quickly gaining popularity and is more and more frequently incorporated by physicians who practice Integrative Medicine, which goes beyond the generally accepted medical practices by also incorporating the holistic treatment of body, mind, and psyche.

Iridology is a field of study of both chromatic and textural patterns (Iridodiagnostic signs) of the iris and interpretation of these signs as a method for evaluation of general and specific conditions of the body. Iridology has been in continuous study and practice for approximately 300 years. Iridology gained momentum during the last century with application of more rigorous scientific protocols. Numerous academic institutions and literally tens of thousands of individual practitioners are actively studying, teaching and practicing iridology around the world. A lot of new scientific literature has been published on the subject and this field of study is advancing at an accelerated rate. Iridology is more widely accepted in Europe where a great many practitioners of Iridology are also accredited doctors of medicine.

IridoLab incorporates Iridodiagnostic methods from the school of Velchover, who is one of the best-known and peer-acknowledged authorities in the field of Iridology worldwide. While we work in cooperation with academic institutions and practitioners of Iridodiagnostics, we do not perform or sponsor Iridology research projects. We rely on research published by authors who are recognized as subject matter experts in the field of Iridodiagnostics by their peers.
